Nina Kovacheva and Valentin Stefanoff are two of the most important Bulgarian contemporary artists that through their consistent activity have gained international recognition. They are currently living and working in Paris and Sofia.
In December 2005 they are presenting at the National Museum of Contemporary Art, Bucharest, a selection of their latest video works, (curator Ruxandra Balaci) an exhibition that will last until March 2006.
A constant feature of their work is the exploration of the human gestures and face expressions, as well as the recurrent theme of the artists' double portrait aiming to actively engage the viewer's presence.
